HVAC Maintenance Plans in Cheney
A maintenance plan gets your furnace checked before winter and your AC checked before summer. We test for gas leaks, carbon monoxide and loose wiring first, then clean and tune. You get a written list of what we found, with no pressure to fix anything today.

What a Plan Does for Your Home
Most furnace and AC breakdowns start small. A dirty flame sensor, a weak capacitor, a clogged drain line. Caught early, these are quick fixes. Left alone, they shut the system down on the coldest night or the hottest afternoon of the year.
The bigger reason we push tune-ups is safety. A gas furnace that runs for years without a look can develop a cracked heat exchanger or a blocked flue. Both can put carbon monoxide into your home. A tune-up is where we find those problems before they find you.
Our plans start at $14.99 a month. That covers your regular tune-ups, takes a discount off any repair you need and puts you near the front of the line when the schedule fills up. You pick the visits that fit your equipment, and we keep a record of each one so the next tech knows your system's history.
What We Check on Every Visit
- Carbon monoxide and gas safety
- We test for CO around the furnace and in the living space. We check gas connections for leaks and confirm the burners light clean and steady.
- Heat exchanger and venting
- We inspect the heat exchanger for cracks and rust. We make sure the flue draws properly and exhaust leaves your home the way it should.
- Electrical connections
- Loose or burnt wires cause fires and failed starts. We tighten terminals, test capacitors and contactors, and check that the safety switches actually trip.
- AC and heat pump performance
- We clean the outdoor coil, check refrigerant pressures and measure temperature drop across the system. Low numbers usually point to a problem worth knowing about early.
- Drains, filters and airflow
- We clear the condensate line so it won't back up and leak. We change or check your filter and look at the blower for dirt and wear.
Signs Your System Is Overdue for a Tune-Up
No visit in over a year
If you can't remember the last tune-up, it's been too long. Dust and wear build up whether you notice or not.
Yellow or flickering burner flame
A healthy gas flame is mostly blue. Yellow or lazy flames can mean poor combustion and more carbon monoxide.
Rising energy bills
A dirty coil or worn part makes the system run longer for the same comfort. Your bill shows it before the equipment fails.
Short cycling or odd noises
Turning on and off every few minutes, rattling or squealing all point to parts that need attention.
Dust or smell when it starts
Some burning smell at the first cold snap is normal for a minute. If it lingers, or you smell gas, shut it off and get it checked.
What Changes the Cost of a Plan
Plan pricing depends on what you have and how many visits it needs. We keep it simple and tell you the price on the phone before you sign up. Any repair we find is quoted in writing first.
Number of systems
A home with a furnace and AC needs two visits a year. Add a heat pump or ductless mini-split heads and the work goes up.
Type of equipment
Gas furnaces need combustion and venting checks. Heat pumps run year-round and get more wear on the outdoor unit.
Age and condition
Older systems take longer to inspect and often need more cleaning. We'll be straight with you if a unit is near the end of its life.
Access
A furnace in a tight crawlspace or attic takes more time than one in a garage or basement.
How a Tune-Up Visit Goes
- 1
Schedule by phone
Plan members get priority on the calendar. We set spring visits for the AC and fall visits for the furnace.
- 2
Safety checks first
Before any cleaning, we test for CO and gas leaks and look at the wiring. If something is unsafe, we tell you right away and explain why.
- 3
Clean and tune
We clean what needs it, adjust what's off and test the system through a full cycle. We protect floors and clean up after ourselves.
- 4
Walk you through it
You get a written summary of what we found. If a part needs replacing, you get a written quote before any work begins, and your plan discount applies.

Maintenance Plan Questions
Is a tune-up really worth it on a newer system?
Yes. New equipment still collects dirt, and drain lines still clog. Many manufacturers also expect yearly service to keep their parts warranty valid, so check your paperwork.
When should I schedule my visits?
Furnace in early fall, AC in spring. Cheney winters are long and cold, so you want the heat checked before the first hard freeze, not during it.
What if you find something wrong?
We show you what we found and explain whether it's a safety issue or something that can wait. You get a written quote, and nothing gets fixed without your OK. Plan members get a discount on the repair.
Do you service heat pumps and mini-splits on a plan?
Yes. We clean coils and filters, check refrigerant and test defrost on heat pumps. Ductless mini-split heads get their filters and blower wheels cleaned too.
Does a plan help if my system breaks down at night?
We offer emergency HVAC repair around the clock, and there are no emergency or after-hours fees. Plan members also get priority scheduling for regular repairs.
